What is an information class?
An information class tells you how sensitive a piece of data is and where it can be processed. Four levels are enough: public, internal, confidential, and forbidden.
An information class is a label that tells you how sensitive a piece of data is, and therefore what you’re allowed to do with it. EuroWork uses four: public (can go on the website), internal (everyday business), confidential (would cause harm if leaked), and forbidden (must never be processed by AI at all, like certain personal data).
The point of these classes is that the rules live in the system, not in every employee’s head. In EuroWork, every question is reviewed before it’s sent: if the content looks more sensitive than the chosen class, the protection level is automatically raised. Confidential data is always processed on European models, and forbidden data is stopped before it leaves the building. Under the answer, you’ll see where the processing happened.
If you ever have to answer to a regulator, the difference is huge: "we told staff to be careful" is just a hope, while "the system classifies, reviews, and logs every question" is a real answer.
