What does zero data retention mean?
That the AI provider doesn’t keep anything you send: no questions, no answers, no training. What the promise actually covers, and what to ask your provider.
What does zero data retention mean?
Zero data retention means the AI provider doesn’t keep anything you send to the model: the question and answer are processed, delivered, and then discarded. Nothing is saved for troubleshooting, nothing is used to train future models, and there’s nothing left with the provider that could leak, be requested, or be used for further training.
It’s a contractual issue, not a technical given. Many AI services’ standard terms allow the provider to store conversations for a while and sometimes use them for training, and free versions are usually the most generous with that right. So the questions to ask your provider are: are our questions and answers saved, for how long, are they used for training, and is this stated in the contract or in a setting someone could change?
EuroWork’s standard models run on Mistral AI in Europe with zero data retention agreed in the contract, and it’s stated under every answer where the processing took place and that the content is never used for training. Your work materials are of course saved in your own organisation’s space with us, that’s the service, but the AI provider behind the answer keeps nothing.
Your employees are already using AI, often in private accounts where no one sees what gets pasted in. EuroWork gives the same AI help in one place where you are in control: sensitive data is caught before it is sent, processing stays in the EU, every answer shows its price and management sets the rules.
